Happy creatures.

Look at these 2.  They love their new house!  We were finally able to move in after the carpet was laid.

My very sweet brother-in-law took time out of his busy life to come down and help lift the heavy stuff.

He put in our new stove top.

Our new furniture was delivered a few days after the big move.  We love this furniture!  We have a matching chair and ottoman.  The end tables and lights came from our friend Amanda's store in Champaign called Furniture Lounge.  

We arranged the dining set we bought at a consignment shop in Kankakee.

And Nancy bought a big ass TV.  I had nothing to do with it!!!

We are settling in right nice. (pardon the country bit there)

Floors, people...floors.

 So, here is a sad floorless hallway.  We ripped out a house full of carpeting and finally settled on a nice solid bamboo we found at Home Depot.  (Home Legend is the name - we chose Harvest)  After a major snafu (nothing to do with Home Depot themselves) waylaying the installation by about 3 weeks, we finally had it installed.

2 nice gentlemen from the Chicagoland area hired through Home Depot arrived and layed this flooring in 8 hours.  They were great and very professional. Home Depot had a great deal - $397.00 to lay any click-lock flooring.  

 Here is the finished hallway.  We love it!  It goes really well with the existing woodwork and I love the wider plank of this flooring.  The walls in this picture look blue because the sun is setting. (see the back window)  They are really grey.  The inside of the house looks blue in the evening when it is sunny.  Anyway, the bamboo is in and now we wait for carpet.  Next week the installers come to lay it!!
